Patrick Walker, DMD

Dr. Patrick Walker will be joining Oral & Facial Surgery Associates in July 2013. Dr. Walker is a Georgia native who is near completion of his residency training at Georgia Health Sciences University in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Walker attended Mississippi State University where he studied Microbiology, but then gained early acceptance to GHSU School of Dental Medicine at the end of his junior year. He earned his DMD from GHSU in 2008 finishing in the top of his class. Following graduation, Dr. Walker completed a one year internship in OMFS at GHSU, before beginning the 4 year residency program.
As chief resident of the OMFS program at GHSU, he is responsible for overseeing the oral and facial needs for GHSU’s Level I Trauma Center, Children’s Medical Center, VA Hospital and the Augusta State Medical Prison. Dr. Walker enjoys full scope oral and maxillofacial surgery, with special interest in advanced oral surgical procedures (impacted wisdom teeth, dental implants, and bone grafting), facial trauma, orthognathic surgery (corrective jaw surgery), maxillofacial pathology and reconstructive surgery and general anesthesia.
Patrick and his wife, Erin, have a daughter and will be moving to the Lawrenceville area this coming summer. Dr. Walker looks forward to joining the OFSA team and becoming a part of the community.
